It takes time to become wealthy. Mainly, it takes time away from the ones that you love if you wish to obtain generational wealth. Concluding Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season – Marvin Jones Jr. decided it was time to take a step away from the game of football.
His departure did not come with many details besides tending to a personal family matter. M.Jones felt that he could not be the player his team needed and the man his family deserved should he remain on the Detroit Lions. In an extremely interesting turn of events, he decided to prioritize his family over the game of football.
As a veteran receiver in the NFL, the Lions sorely miss his leadership in the locker room and his skills on the field. More importantly, his family missed him as an intellectual father and incredible role model.
A few years ago, Marvin and his family suffered the tragic loss of their 6 month old son, Marlo.
“We did not get the chance to hear your first words (It would’ve been in Spanish too) We didn’t get to see you run with your brothers and sister, you ran with them with your eyes everyday. We know that everything that We do from here on out will be with you. Every step we take, you will be with us. Whenever we have a bad day, We will think of your smile. We miss you already buddy and will forever love you. Rest peacefully our sweet baby boy. You have gained your wings.”

The insurmountable loss of an infant child certainly weighs on any family. Marlo is survived by Marvin III, Mareon, Murrell, Mya and Mila. Additionally, the game of professional football takes a severe toll on the human body. Given Jones’ suffered injuries [as any NFL player does] and an indescribable loss within his family – it makes since why he would choose to spend more valuable moments with them.
Life is so fleeting – do what you can to provide comfort and hold your loved ones as tight as you can for as long as you live.
