Getting started is half the battle. The other half is fighting like hell to remain consistent. It is tough to gauge how the market will react to your products.

It is difficult to tell what will make headway and cause individuals to flock toward your output. That is why you must continue to bash your head against the proverbial wall through trial and error. Until you see what force is strong enough to cause that barrier to break and people to gain attraction toward your brand. Then you go full force and double down.
VLONE Stands on Stilts Under Yams Blueprint
The clothing brand VLONE is almost synonymous with the A$AP Mob. The V symbolizes an upside down A with its mantra being: you come in this world alone and you will leave this world alone.
VLONE is rooted in Harlem where soul blooms and then withers. Together with designer Edison Chen, the VLONE FRIENDS- collective built a massive clientele very quickly. Through limited quantities their merchandise would sell out rapidly and their profit margins were very generous.
Nike x VLONE
When the 35th anniversary of the Nike Air Force 1 came around, Nike sought out VLONE to create a collaborative sneaker. While the sneaker retailed for a standard $250 it quickly gathered a resale value of nearly $20,000. The rarity and individuals associated with this brand caused the market to latch onto it heavily and deemed it one of the most exclusive fashion brands known to man.
“We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone.”-Orson Welles
An individual that is definitely feeling alone right now is Jabari Shelton a.k.a A$AP Bari a.k.a Young Lord. He was tasked as being responsible for catapulting the VLONE brand to the levels of hype and commercial success that it reached.
Ironically enough, he is not the owner of the VLONE brand, trademark or entity as a whole. His actions while at the helm of the extremely popular clothing brand proved that he was not capable of maintaining basic human decency.
After fighting an associate at his own pop-up store with Off-White and being accused of sexual assault – VLONE has distanced themselves from Bari and his irrational behavior. Some people are just going to be who they are going to be.
VLONE noted that Bari’s behavior is “contrary to their collective.” This begs the question – who actually owns VLONE? LVDV Holdings is who hosts all of the copyrights and they are represented by Frederick Hunter, Esq.
Many believe it is A$AP Rocky who has the rights to the brand entirely. It would make sense as he probably followed A$AP Yams blueprint the closest and exists as the main mastermind after Yams passed away.
Let us know if you have a line of information on the VLONE brand! Until then – keep it funky – keep it fresh – keep it friendly.
