PATRONS GET ROWDY IN THE FUNCTION: YAMS DAY 2K18 [BRONX NY EXPO CENTER]

The late, Steven Rodriguez, A$AP Yams facilitated countless mogul-type maneuvers in his lifetime. Specifically, Yams grew the market share of A$AP Rocky through Tumblr exponentially. Today, several A$AP members pursue various streams of revenue via merchandising, musical production and philanthropy.

Patience is the most valuable characteristic of the A$AP conglomerate. Each project receives proper treatment and curation within every cultural production aspect. To put it into perspective, A$AP Yams heard Twelvyy’s album which took nearly a decade to release. Notably, Twelvyy’s brand Last Year Being Broke gained a subdivision titled, First Year Being Rich.

As apart of Yams Day 2018 A$AP united with New Era for limited edition “YAMBORGHINI” hats.

 

The third annual ceremony was held at the Bronx NY Expo Center. Performances ranged from A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Twelvyy, A$AP Nast, A$AP Ant, Lil Yachty, Nav, G Perico French Montana, to Retch.

The Yams Day experience thrives upon giving back to the community. The third installment provided a creative outlet for young adults to prosper. The tradition of quality performances included DJ sets by TDE’s MixedByAli and A$AP’s Cozy Boys.

All proceeds for 2018 Yams Day went toward the Always Strive and Prosper charitable nonprofit organization. The charitable fund became founded upon the aim to educate young people about substance abuse. The Always Strive and Prosper Foundation received its jumpstart from Yams’ mother, Tatiana Rodriguez.
