Reinstated: For the (culture) first time since 2008, TRL to air once again! Migos and Ed Sheehan to perform

Total Request Live (TRL) has rebooted its original series and will return to MTV for the first time since 2008. They have recruited a plethora of hosts like Complex’s Tamara Dhia, Lawrence Jackson of RevoltTV and DC Young Fly from MTV2’s Wild n Out.

The first show of the new series premieres on October 2nd at its original timeslot of 3:30 P.M. The show will incorporate real-time social media activity, artist interviews and performances.

“TRL will integrate linear, social and digital elements and bring teen passion points to life, while continuing to incorporate audience requests.” (MTV)

The show will stream exclusively on musical.ly on Mondays and Thursdays in the newly renovated Times Square studio at One Astor Plaza.

President of Music Television, Chris McCarthy spoke to the importance of, “Amplifying young peoples voices.”

Migos and Ed Sheehan are slated to be the first wave of performances for the rejuvenated series. Apparently, nostalgia sells!

Migos heavily anticipated, “Culture II” is slated to drop near the end of October and will feature #1 Billboard artist, Cardi B.
